Job description

The Lead Creative plays a key role within our creative team, driving and elevating short-form video concepts for both client and internal projects.

You bring strong ideas to the table, help shape the creative direction alongside the Head of Creative and ensure the final output aligns with the brief, brand voice, our quality standards, and delivers results.

This role requires full ownership of the creative execution for specific clients, close collaboration with project managers, producers, creators, videographers, and editors, and a high standard of quality. 

The job

1. Take full creative responsibility for the projects you lead (from high-level idea to final delivery). Ensure every piece you oversee reflects our core value.

2. Provide feedback on scripts, edits, and captions. Step in when timelines are tight, and help raise the bar through reviews, rewrites, and hands-on support when needed

3. Come up with fresh, on-brand creative concepts / formats that align with client objectives, expectations and (platform) best practices to drive maximum results.

4. Work closely with editors, creators, and other creatives to ensure ideas are executed to the highest standard.

5. Stay on top of TikTok trends, viral formats, and content shifts. Combine platform insights with audience behavior to inform storytelling, humor, pacing, and creative direction, and actively bring these insights into team discussions and concepts

6. Gatekeep creator selection to ensure the right talent is matched to the concept. Work closely with the Creator Marketer to ensure synergy between idea and execution.

7. Act as on-set creative director when needed. Review and approve footage delivered by creators to ensure it meets our expectations.

8. Gatekeep all final edits that are delivered to clients. Ensure edits meet both internal standards and client expectations.

9. Engage closely with clients to understand their brand, marketing goals, and target audience. Present creative ideas and strategies, incorporating client feedback to refine concepts.

10. Understand how your content is performing and why. Do consistent analyses and reporting together with our performance marketeers to sharpen future ideas and adjust formats.

11. Support the ongoing improvement of creative processes by sharing ideas and feedback that help the team work smarter and faster.

12. Help other creatives level up by sharing feedback, offering guidance, and supporting their growth within the team.

13. Support the team in new business pitches with strong creative ideas and concept decks. Present ideas internally and contribute to the creative pitch narrative.

Qualifications and experience

1. Proven track record of creative leadership in short-form video.
2. Skilled in ideation, scripting, and creative strategy.
3. Strategic thinking and ability to align creative efforts with marketing objectives.
4. Strong understanding of the video production process
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain a high creative standard.
6. Strong understanding of storytelling, platform trends, and audience psychology.
7. Expertise in driving organic growth.Experience in managing and leading teams.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
9. A collaborative mindset with a passion for helping other creatives thrive.
10. Ability to inspire and motivate creative teams to deliver exceptional TikTok video content.
